よく、台風の時期になると窓に養生テープ貼ったりしますよね。

Situation under gypsum board construction work.
As the name itself describes, it is made of gypsum as its raw material. On its core material, base-sheet(paper) is absorbed and attached to gypsum. It mainly excels fire resistant property. When gypsum board touches fire or heat, gypsum is slowly evaporated and becomes steam. There is a property of keeping the same temperature until complete emission.

Calcium silicate board.
As the name itself describes, it is made of calcium silicate as its raw material. In details, it is made of siliceous raw material, hydrated lime, pulp and others. It is made by crystallization with high temperature・high pressure.
Therefore, it excels in bending strength and water resisting property. There is little crook and shrink with moisture. So, it is often used for construction work at kitchen and toilet in areas often using water.
However, as calcium silicate board itself does not have enough water resisting property against rain and wind, it seems that「calcium silicate decorative board」painted high performance plastic paint or durable sheet sticked with better strength and appearance seems to be used often.
As variation of calcium silicate decorative board is abundant depending on manufacturers, it is used for various places such as general residence・food and drinking place・dealing in medicine company and the like.
